La Massana

This parish contains the highest point in Andorra, the peak of Comapedrosa at an altitude of 2942 metres. One should also note its wealth of rivers since it is crossed by the Northern Valira, the rivers of Arinsal, Pal and Montaner, and numerous tributaries and streams. Its wealth of mineral waters is considerable.

It is in the north-west of the country, separated from Escaldes-Engordany by the Sant Antoni tunnels, and holds great wooded areas such as the woods of Pal, Jou and Padern. It has very varied flora and fauna, including the proud presence of the isard (the chamois of the Pyrenees) as well as boars, foxes, hares and wood cocks, without forgetting of course its delicious trout.
