At the top of the village, almost at the way out, you
will find:
- the church of Sant Cristófol d'Anyós. The
church is situated at the top of the village close to the village's exit. The building is
of Romanesque origin and was modified in the 16th century. It has a steeple at the back.
lnside there are wall paintings from two different periods: The Last Supper, situated in
the semicircular apse and dating back to the end of the 13th , beginning of the 14th
centuries and those referring to Sant Cristófol and The Final Judgement (the weighing of
the souls) on the north and east walls. The latter pictures date back to the enlarging of
the church in the 16th century. The only remaining fragment of the 12th century romanic
paintings (The Virgin flanked by two saints) is preserved in a private collection. lnside,
there is also an altarpiece from the 16th century dedicated to the patron saint of the
church.
Anyós holds its village feast on July 10.
lf you continue along the same road, you corne to another
