The Silent Valleys
| This itinerary involves a walk through the valleys of the
parish of Ordino, visiting villages that are in total harmony with contrasting natural
surroundings that range from high peaks to deep depressions. For centuries this parish was devoted to mining and metallurgy. lts principal source of income is now the tourist trade although some tradicional activities based on farming (mainly tobacco and potatoes) and livestock raising are still carried out.
